Happy Father’s Day 2025: The Critical Role of a Father at Home and in Business

As we celebrate Father’s Day 2025, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the profound influence that fathers have, not just within the walls of our homes but also in the broader sphere of business and community. Fathers play an extremely important role in shaping the values, character, and futures of their children. As Proverbs 20:7 beautifully reminds us, “The just man walketh in his integrity: His children are blessed after him.”, encapsulating the legacy that fathers leave behind—one of love, guidance, and moral fortitude.   The Unsung Heroes Billy Graham once said, “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.”   Also read: https://www.latimes.com/socal/burbank-leader/tn-blr-me-intheory-advice-for-future-dads-20140610-story.html    This sentiment resonates deeply as we consider how often fathers go about their daily lives without recognition. From early morning breakfasts to late-night homework sessions, fathers, in their selfless dedication, are often the quiet architects of their children’s futures. They instil values that transcend generations. Hard work, resilience, empathy, and integrity. Think back to those moments when your child looks up at you with bright eyes and declares, “When I grow up, I want to be just like my daddy.” Those words carry immense weight; they signify trust and admiration. Each day presents fathers with the opportunity to embody those ideals that will not only shape but also transform their children’s character. It is a powerful responsibility that requires dedication and intentionality.   The Father’s Role at Home At home, a father’s role extends beyond mere provision; it encompasses emotional support and active participation in family life. Fathers are often seen as protectors and providers, but they are also teachers and nurturers. Whether it’s coaching a sports team or helping with school projects, fathers make significant contributions to their children’s development. Their emotional support and active participation in family life are crucial in shaping their children’s emotional intelligence and resilience. Moreover, studies show that children who have involved fathers tend to exhibit better social skills and higher academic performance. This involvement lays a foundation for healthy relationships, both within the family unit and in society as a whole. When children see their fathers engage with them lovingly and actively participate in their lives, they learn what it means to care for others deeply.   Fathers in Business: Leading by Example The influence of fathers stretches into the professional realm as well. Many successful business leaders credit their fathers for instilling in them the work ethic and determination needed to succeed. A father can serve as a mentor not only within the family but also in professional settings. The values learned at home often translate into business practices, i.e. integrity, accountability, and teamwork, all essential qualities for any successful endeavour. In many ways, a father’s approach to business reflects his parenting style. Just as he nurtures his children with patience and understanding, he also fosters a positive work environment for his employees. By leading by example, treating others with respect, and consistently showing up on time, a father cultivates trust and loyalty with his wife, children, and in the workplace.   Also read: https://sacvwriting.co.za/mothers-day-2025-to-the-supermoms-out-there-remarkable-capeless-heroes/   Honouring God-fearing Fathers Throughout scripture, and indeed throughout history, we see examples of both admirable and flawed fathers. These stories serve as reminders of the crucial role this plays within families and communities. As we honour our fathers this Father’s Day or remember those who have passed on, let us acknowledge this sacred calling to nurture our families with love and integrity. As you celebrate today with your loved ones, whether through heartfelt conversations or shared experiences, take a moment to appreciate the lessons learned from your father figure(s). Let us commit ourselves not only to honouring them but also to carrying forward their legacy by being present in our children’s lives. This Father’s Day serves as an invitation for all of us to reflect on the significant roles that fathers, and father figures of all kinds, play both at home and beyond. Let’s recognise these unsung heroes who shape our lives daily through their actions and values. Whether you’re a father, a stepfather, a grandfather, or someone who has been positively impacted by one, take time today to express gratitude or share stories that celebrate this vital role.   Happy Father’s Day!   #fathersday2025 #fathersareheroes #cvwritingservicessouthafrica #cvwriting #cvwritingservice #sacvwriting #professionalcvwritersinsouthafrica   This article was written en published by Liesel Cloete. Mother’s Day 2025 – To the Supermoms Out There: Remarkable Capeless Heroes

It’s that time of year again. Mother’s Day. You either wake up to the delightful aroma of burnt toast and sticky syrup fingers on your coffee cup, or you find yourself wishing the calendar would magically skip right over this day. If you’re a working mother, chances are you’ve experienced both scenarios at least once (or, let’s be real, multiple times). Between juggling deadlines, spending quality time with your almost 16-year old and convincing your 5-year old that taking a bath everyday (even though according to them, they are not dirty), your life feels like a never-ending circus where you are not just the ringmaster but also the lion tamer, trapeze artist, and sometimes (in my case, most of the times) even the clown.   The Many Hats of a Working Mother Let’s take a moment to appreciate the sheer talent it takes to be a working mom. You’re not just an employee—you’re also a caregiver, entrepreneur, snack distributor (seriously, how do you always have goldfish crackers on hand?), and bedtime negotiator extraordinaire. Some days it feels like you’ve got it all together. You wear your “I can handle anything” t-shirt with confidence as you swoop in for that last-minute presentation while simultaneously locating your child’s missing shoe. Other days? Well, let’s just say that finding a pair of shorts that actually matches my toddler’s daily mood can feel like an Olympic event. But here’s the kicker: research shows that working mothers experience stress levels akin to those of skydivers without parachutes! Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but you get the point. If only there were awards for balancing boardroom strategies with bedtime stories! I mean, why not add “professional juggler” to our resumes?   Read more here: https://sacvwriting.co.za/working-mothers-we-salute-you/    The Importance of Support Coming from a corporate background, I can’t stress enough how vital it is for companies to recognise their employees as more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. When your workplace understands that you’re not only a professional woman but also a mother first and foremost, everything changes. Suddenly, those guilt trips for taking leave to nurse a sick child feel less like criminal offences and more like acts of self-preservation. Imagine this scenario: Your little one comes down with the sniffles. It’s heartbreaking enough without adding layers of workplace guilt on top. Wouldn’t it be nice if bosses could say, “Take care of your child; we’ll manage!”? Let’s dream big here!   What Makes It All Worth It Despite all the chaos and occasional meltdowns (both from you and your children), what makes this juggling act worthwhile? Spending precious time with my children when I’m not working brings me unparalleled joy. I find myself listening more intently during those bedtime stories, because let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to hear about the sun that is angry because it has gas? I laugh more at their silly antics and the weird and wonderful things they say (like trying to convince me that chocolate is actually a healthy food group), talk more about their dreams (and yes, they include being superheroes, dinosaurs and Godzillas), and truly savour these fleeting moments.   Read more here: SA CV Writing is awarded as the most customer-focused CV Writing Agency 2024 – South Africa   So here’s my shout-out to all working mothers around the globe: We see you! We appreciate every late-night work session followed by early-morning wake-ups. And to our supporters, husbands, family, friends, and colleagues who understand and help us navigate this challenging but rewarding journey, we couldn’t do it without you. You are worthy of celebration today and every day!   Happy Mother’s Day!   #mothersday2025 #mothersareheroes #cvwritingservicessouthafrica  #cvwriting #cvwritingservice #sacvwriting #professionalcvwritersinsouthafrica This article was written en published by Liesel Cloete.
